Lazy Days of Winter

Today was a lazy day. Didn't do any of the things on my list and I kind of feel like chocolate chip cookies but I dont know if that desire is strong enough to get me to actually make them. We'll see. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be more motivated and make up for today but until then - yay for lazy days!

Catch Up

So Thanksgiving, Christmas? Was that really almost two months ago? I still haven't gotten the Christmas pictures from my parents because genius here remembered to charge the camera battery but didn't put it back in so I borrowed theirs. But it was great and we are very blessed. And we got to cut down our own tree this year.

Paige turned 1 in November. She had fun getting girly, pink things and loved her pig cake.

Cade turned three and Clay turned 27 in December. The cake didn't really look like Curious George but hey I tried and he loved it.

We've been enjoying playing outside but have to resort to playing in rocks and mud instead of snow.
Cade asks everyday if there is snow so he can make a snowman. Come on Idaho - seriously? The weakest winter ever.
Cade is improving in his photography and took this lovely one of Paige. Basically he gets the camera depending upon how desperate I am to have him leave me alone for a few minutes.

Cade loves learning new songs in Primary.

Paigey just being her cute self. Yes my kids are this cute and perfect all the time, they beg for vegetables and always go to sleep on time. We are waiting to hear from five more PT schools including our top two - ISU and Rocky Mountain in Provo. We are on a wait list at Tuoro University in Henderson, Nevada and won't find out until May where we rank on the list. I hate this waiting game. Do you think the blessings can still come even if you totally fail the trial of your faith? I can't wait to find out what the future holds for us.

Parents of the Year

We pretty much have the Parents of the Year award for 2011 all wrapped up as evidenced by this video. (I may have posted this last year - I can't remember.) I don't think I am in the running for blogger of the year. Stay tuned for more news and updates.

Halloween = Candy for me too!

We ended up with a striped theme this year!
And Paige's hair looked even better the next day.

Cade was kind of a little diva about trick-or-treating. Maybe it was because he got vip treatment and got pulled around in the wagon. We would be walking up to a door and he would say "I no say trick-or-treat", he wouldn't ring the door bell and wouldn't hold his bucket. He would just sit there, get the candy, and walk away saying "I go nother house."

So I don't know if he enjoyed the trick-or-treating part but I do know he enjoyed the sugar high afterwards.

Paige should model for the starving child please feed me commercials. The bruise above the eye courtesy of Cade adds a nice touch. She'll be one in a couple of week and took six steps yesterday. They grow up so fast!

And here is the "I not only need food but obviously some clothes too" child who is forced to earn money on the streets by selling his art. Cade loves to show his little sister tough love and he will be three in December.

Paige's Adolf Hitler hair do.

Life's not perfect but we're pretty darn blessed. Six out of the sixteen PT school apps are done and we're hoping we get in somewhere. We've applied to Maine, Miami, Arizona and everywhere in between so it will be interesting where Heavenly Father wants to send us.
"Come What May and Love it!"

We Bought A House!

Just kidding. But it got you to check our blog which is finally updated. You know the dilemma that us young folks run into? The one where we want everything that our parents have right away when it took them years and years of working and saving to get it all so we go into tons of debt to get it all now? Well, here's the solution: Just move in with your parents! Problem solved.

Cade put this cat on Paige and said "Cat horsey ride Paige!"

So we packed everything up and moved into Clay's parents' basement in Blackfoot, Idaho. We are very blessed that they opened up their beautiful home to us. Things have been falling into place. Clay was able to get a job as a physical therapy aide up in Idaho Falls a week earlier than planned so we had to move in two days. It was great fun. Thanks to everyone for all your help.

And now I am so much cooler because I am married to a BYU Intramural Champion! So Clay and his friends have been playing intramural football and softball for five years together and I have been to probably over thirty games over the years. This year was their last chance before graduation to finally receive the very coveted t-shirt. Their softball team made it to the finals and had to beat the same team twice and wasted them. Five years and a broken pinky later - we finally have the shirt. It was all worth it.

My sister came to visit. It made me realize how much I missed her and how grateful I am that we were put into families and how awesome mine is.

It was crazy but we are settled in and having a fun summer - hence the lack of blogging. We went to Orem Summerfest awhile back and Cade had a blast on the rides. I'm excited for the fair coming up.

We have another bacon lover in the house! Paige is cuter and sweeter than ever. She is always smiling and probably eats more than Cade does. She crawls every where and now pulls herself up on things. She absolutely idolizes Cade and always wants to do what he is doing. She'll be eight months next week.

Cade has taken up photography and discovered Photo Booth. I will be highlighting some of his works in upcoming blogs.

Oh yeah - I chopped all my hair off.

Yes, that's me and my mom standing in the background. No idea he was taking pictures.

So the plan now is to save up some money, beef up Clay's resume, retake a few classes and go to Physical Therapy school next year so everyone start praying now! Clay loves PT and is enjoying his new job so I would really love to see him do something he loves for his career.

Have a fun summer!
