New Year Fun

I am currently working on this post on my tv because this little guy shattered the screen on our computer. Luckily we can hook it up to the tv and it works just fine. Our little guy can be a little destructive:

Before Cade

After Cade

He loves eating by himself now and we bought him a Sesame Street spoon and fork and he's getting pretty good at eating with them. They are his new favorite toys.

We recently got permission from our landlord to paint! I was so excited. Our apartment is in pretty great shape considering how old it is, but the walls were disgusting. So I dumped Cade off with my sister last Saturday and we went to work!

It took us about five hours to tape and only 45minutes to paint thanks to Clay's boss. He let us borrow his paint gun and wow! That saved us so much time. Thanks Don!

We took a break and watched the BYU basketball game in our plastic tent. Too bad we lost.

Ta da! I still need to paint the trim and doors white, but I love the new walls. It feels like a different apartment. Now I need to figure out where to put all my pictures.

And this is my other big news. Clay has been mysteriously running away to Heber (he works in a cabinet shop up there) the past five Saturdays and surprised me with this on my birthday. I was completely surprised. I thought he was making me a bookshelf and then he showed up with this. It's so fun to show off what my husband made for me. Let's see if he can top this next year!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

We hope you have a happy birthday. We love you and appreciate all you do for us. And Cade still loves his toys. Thank you for being you!

Still Here

Good thing being a better blogger wasn't one of my new year's resolutions because I would have failed miserably! Apparently it should have been one. Here are a few pictures from birthdays and Christmas. We celebrated Cade's birthday the day of the Las Vegas Bowl. Go BYU!

It was so fun to watch him rip his presents and he loved his football cake.

We also had Clay's birthday a few days before. Happy quarter of a century Clay!

Then Christmas. We spent it with my family this year. My highlight was the leopard print Snuggie Cade got for me.

And of course our Yellow Pine shirts. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Morgan! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a happy New Year with more exciting posts to come.

Decorating for Christmas

Over Thanksgiving I was able to make this wreath with my Mom and Grandma. We had so much fun and it looks good on our front door.

And here's the tree who made it all the way from Salmon, Idaho to be with us with it's own Cade barrier.

Cade wanted to help decorate. These are his contributions.

And last weekend he decided it was time to walk. It makes him seem so much more like a little person now. He'll have time to perfect it over Christmas break. We leave today for Idaho and I can't wait to celebrate Clay's birthday, Cade's birthday and Christmas and be broke by New Years!

Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving Post

First things first: BYU won! We played terrible but at least we beat Utah 26 to 23.

The weekend before Thanksgiving we went to Clay's cousins wedding and the whole family surprised Grandma Morgan for her 80th birthday. Cade's gift was a night of entertainment.

Next we spent time with my family. Cade loved knocking over towers Uncle Michael built for him. Clay was able to shadow a physical therapist and really enjoyed it.

Next was Thanksgiving dinner with Clay's family with the tradition of a game of bowling that night. Clay's crippled father beat everyone but I at least beat Clay!

Cade discovered White Fudge Flips and fell in love.

And Cade got a haircut after Dad styled it. It has been snowing the past few days and it finally feels like Christmas. Check back soon for decorating for Christmas with Cade.

Happy Halloween

Clay's Pumpkin. Hopefully it will inspire the football team to play well this weekend.

Cade as a ghost. Those are supposed to be his cheeks.

We made a few visits to friends and family.

(green highlighter).

Hope you had a Happy Halloween!
