Summer is Finally Here!

So summer didn't really start until the first week of June this year and we took full advantage. Here is Cade with three pairs of shorts on asking me to put on a fourth. Can't be too prepared.

And he is ready to go hit some trails on his new four wheeler.

Cade has always been such a good helper. He followed me all over the house pushing this picture frame around behind me like a vacuum.

We went to the Hogle Zoo and Cade loved looking at all the animals and all the shoulder rides from grandpa.

Thanks Mom, Dad and Michael for a fun Memorial Day weekend!

Life is Good

I felt this accurately represents our life. House a mess, Seinfeld on in the background, with Cade making us laugh.

We discovered a new way to get Cade to hold still while I cut his hair. Clay just sprays him with the spraybottle so he holds still for a second, I make a cut, then he laughs and we repeat. We are such great parents.

Life is always exciting for us with Cade around.
What did we do for entertainment before him?

On April 27th, we celebrated the big 3! We were able to go through a session at the Salt Lake temple. It was my first time there and I think everyone needs to go. Thanks Mom for watching Cade so we could have a nice day away. And thank you Clay for sticking with me. I love my man...

and this little guy.

Even when he leaves me presents like this.
Life is good if that's what you are looking for.

New Year Fun

I am currently working on this post on my tv because this little guy shattered the screen on our computer. Luckily we can hook it up to the tv and it works just fine. Our little guy can be a little destructive:

Before Cade

After Cade

He loves eating by himself now and we bought him a Sesame Street spoon and fork and he's getting pretty good at eating with them. They are his new favorite toys.

We recently got permission from our landlord to paint! I was so excited. Our apartment is in pretty great shape considering how old it is, but the walls were disgusting. So I dumped Cade off with my sister last Saturday and we went to work!

It took us about five hours to tape and only 45minutes to paint thanks to Clay's boss. He let us borrow his paint gun and wow! That saved us so much time. Thanks Don!

We took a break and watched the BYU basketball game in our plastic tent. Too bad we lost.

Ta da! I still need to paint the trim and doors white, but I love the new walls. It feels like a different apartment. Now I need to figure out where to put all my pictures.

And this is my other big news. Clay has been mysteriously running away to Heber (he works in a cabinet shop up there) the past five Saturdays and surprised me with this on my birthday. I was completely surprised. I thought he was making me a bookshelf and then he showed up with this. It's so fun to show off what my husband made for me. Let's see if he can top this next year!

Cade enjoying the new set up as well as animal crackers during Sesame Street.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

We hope you have a happy birthday. We love you and appreciate all you do for us. And Cade still loves his toys. Thank you for being you!

Still Here

Good thing being a better blogger wasn't one of my new year's resolutions because I would have failed miserably! Apparently it should have been one. Here are a few pictures from birthdays and Christmas. We celebrated Cade's birthday the day of the Las Vegas Bowl. Go BYU!

It was so fun to watch him rip his presents and he loved his football cake.

We also had Clay's birthday a few days before. Happy quarter of a century Clay!

Then Christmas. We spent it with my family this year. My highlight was the leopard print Snuggie Cade got for me.

And of course our Yellow Pine shirts. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Morgan! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a happy New Year with more exciting posts to come.
